Career Pathways

Student Work Rights & PGWP

Canada provides unmatched opportunities to gain international work experience during and after your studies.

💼

During Studies (Part-Time)

International students are permitted to work off-campus during active academic sessions (currently governed by IRCC rules updating to up to 24 hours per week). During scheduled breaks (summer/winter holidays), you may work full-time.

🎓

Post-Graduation (PGWP)

The Post-Graduation Work Permit allows you to work in Canada after completing a DLI program. A 2-year diploma typically grants a 3-year PGWP. Recently, graduates of master's degree programs also qualify for a full 3-year PGWP.

🍁

Pathway to PR

Canadian work experience gained through a PGWP is highly valuable for immigration. It directly contributes points to the Express Entry system (Canadian Experience Class) and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP).
