How to Apply for studying in usa?

Intakes available in the USA

The US education system has three intakes where students can apply to Colleges and Universities, The three intakes available are:-

    • Fall:- The fall intake starts in the month of September, and is considered to be the most popular amongst the Indian students.
    • Spring:- The Spring intake starts in the month of January, and it’s the best intake after you have missed the fall intake.
    • Summer:- This intake has limited programs & colleges and starts around may.

Why Study in USA?

  • UG Bachelor’s Program:- The duration for an Undergraduate program in the US lasts for Four years, however, some programs may take a shorter time depending upon the field of study and institution. After successful completion of an Undergraduate degree, the student can apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) period of up to 12 months and students in the STEM field can be eligible for a 24 months period.
  • PG Master’s Program:- A master’s program usually takes around 2 years to complete, some programs may take a shorter duration depending upon the field of study and institute. After completion a student can apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) period of up to 24 months and students in the STEM field can be eligible for a period of 36 Months.
  • PG Diploma Program:- The duration of a postgraduate diploma program in the US varies depending on the field of study and the institution. These programs can range from a few months to two years. After successfully completing a postgraduate diploma program, international students can apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) for up to 12 months.

Admission requirements for programs in USA

  • A bachelor's degree accredited institution.
  • A minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or 70%.
  • Standardized test scores such as the GRE or GMAT.
  • Letters of recommendation. Statement of purpose.
  • Resume/CV.
  • English proficiency test score (TOEFL, IELTS, or other equivalent). The required minimum score may vary by institution but is typically between 90-100 on the TOEFL iBT or 6.5-7.5 on the IELTS.

    • Masters

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Transcripts from high school and any previous college-level coursework.
  • SAT or ACT scores.
  • Letters of recommendation.
  • Personal statement or essay.
  • English proficiency test score (TOEFL, IELTS, or other equivalent). The required minimum score may vary by institution but is typically between 61-100 on the TOEFL iBT or 6.0-7.5 on the IELTS.

    • Bachelors

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution (depending on the program)
  • A minimum GPA requirement (varies by institution)
  • Work experience (depending on the program)
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement or essay
  • English proficiency test score (TOEFL, IELTS, or other equivalent). The required minimum score may vary by institution but is typically between 61-100 on the TOEFL iBT or 6.0-7.5 on the IELTS

    • Diploma

    Bachelors Program.

  • Public four-year institutions: $25,000 to $35,000 per year.
  • Private four-year institutions: $35,000 to $55,000 per year.

    Masters Program
  • Public universities: $20,000 to $40,000 per year.
  • Private universities: $30,000 to $60,000 per year.

    Diploma Course
  • Community colleges: $10,000 to $20,000 per year.
  • Private institutions: $15,000 to $25,000 per year.
